Obituary: Shirley Rosalita Keeling, 76, Bardstown
Shirley Rosalita Keeling, 76, of Bardstown, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. She was born June 16, 1939, in Bardstown. She was a former employee of Heaven Hill Distilleries and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Lee and Zita Walker Hill; three sisters, Helen Newport, Bertha Stone and Theresa Bucci; six brothers, Emanuel “Shorty” Hill, Lawrence Hill, Ernie Hill, William Pembliton Hill, Donald Hill and J.C. Hill; and one granddaughter, Ashley Marie Culver.
She is survived by her husband, Roy T. Keeling; two daughters, Vicki (Jamie) Curtsinger of Bardstown and Jennifer Lee (Mike) Bass of Walton; two sons, Darrell ( JoAnn) Keeling and Roy (Tracy) Keeling II, both of Taylorsville; three sisters, Louise Fulkerson of Mount Washington, Pat Brown of Jeffersonville, Ind. and Marilyn Summitt of Bardstown; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a special niece, Tona Jo Bucci.
The Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 4, 2015, at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral. Burial is in the Bardstown Cemetery. The Rev. Jason Harris will celebrate.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home.
