One seriously injured in rollover crash Saturday night on BG Parkway

Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015, 12:45 a.m. — One person was severely injured late Saturday night after he was ejected during a single-vehicle crash on the Bluegrass Parkway near Bardstown. First-responders were dispatched at about 11 p.m. to the area of the 22 mile marker westbound for what was initially reported as an injury accident and possible entrapment. According to first-responders, the vehicle rolled over multiple times before the driver was ejected and thrown approximately 50 feet. The victim, a 60-year-old man, was transported to Flaget Memorial Hospital before being flown by helicopter to University Hospital for injuries that included severe head trauma and possible internal injuries. Nelson County EMS and Nelson County Fire & Rescue responded for the incident. The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
