Obituary: Joseph ‘Homer’ Greenwell, 75, New Haven
Joseph “Homer” Greenwell, 75, of New Haven, died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2015, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. He was a retired truck driver for the Kentucky Department of Transportation and a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church in New Haven.
He is survived by three daughters, Robin Koleski of North Carolina, Becky Mattingly and Angie Mattingly; one son, Joey Mattingly; three sisters, Sr. Paul Marie “Rita” Greenwell OSU, Sr. Margaret Marie “Helen” Greenwell, OSU, and Janice Newton; 12 grandchildren; his niece and caregiver, Lisa Avery (Scott); and his nephew Brad Newton (Michelle).
The funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015, at St. Catherine Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11, 2015, and 8-10 a.m. Saturday at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home in New Haven with a 5 p.m. Friday prayer vigil.
Memorial contributions may go to St. Catherine Catholic Church in New Haven.
