Obituary: Helen Lucille McElfresh, 81, Raywick
Helen Lucille McElfresh, 81, of Raywick, died Monday, Dec. 14, 2015, at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville. She was born Dec. 28, 1933, in LaRue County.
She was preceded in death by husband, Verlyn McElfresh; her special friend Joe Downs; her parents, James and Amanda LaFallete Glover; two daughters, Karen Rogers and Stella Brown; and two sons, Robert W. Brown, Jr. and Greg Brown.
Survivors include one son, Herbert Brown (Teresa) of Versailles; three sisters, Patricia Keith of Vine Grove, Kay Shepherd (Gary) of Louisville, Mona Hill (Jerry) of Louisville; two brothers, Sherman Glover (Jean) of California, James A. Glover II (Peg) of Tennessee; two half-sisters, Pam Phillips and Barbara Blair; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.
The funeral is 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, 2015, at the Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto. Burial is in the St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Raywick with Pastor Steve Priddy officiating.
Visitation is 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
The Mattingly Funeral Home in Loretto is in charge of the arrangements.
