Officers called to alternative school after student assaults a teacher

Wednesday, May 11, 2011, 10:12 a.m. — Officers with the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office were called to the Bardstown Alternative School, 6855 Louisville Road, for a report of a student who has assaulted a teacher there. EMS was not called to the school. Two deputies arrived about 10:35 a.m. to investigate. A deputy left the school with the juvenile in custody about 11:20 a.m. en route for the Nelson County Justice Center.
