First Cedar Creek to present ‘The First Noel’ at 11 a.m. Sunday service

Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015 — The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church invites the community to worship Christ with them through songs and drama.
During the 11 a.m. worship service Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015, the adult choir will sing “The First Noel”. Directed by Margareth Miguel, this musical was created and arranged by the Dove award-winning team of Sue C. Smith & Russell Mauldin.
Margareth Miguel is a native of Sao Paulo, Brazil where she received a Bachelor of Church Music and Bachelor of Vocal Music. She is an eight-year resident of Kentucky and received a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Campbellsville University.
Following “The First Noel,” a brief message will be given by Pastor Tim Lucas.
At 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015, skits and music will be presented and the traditional treat of an apple, an orange, and a candy cane in a small brown paper bag, sponsored by the Sunday School Department, will be given to each person attending.
CHRISTMAS EVE CANDLELIGHT SERVICE. The annual Christmas Eve candlelight worship service will begin 11 p.m. Dec. 24, 2015. “Advent” will be the theme as the manger of Christ and the cross of Christ are connected and the anticipation of the second coming of our Lord and Savior is celebrated.
Along with other presentations, a wreath of candles symbolizing hope, peace, love, and joy will be lit as the adult choir sings “The Advent Wreath Song”.
The Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions will be received. The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church offering goal is $1,500.00. For each $150.00 received, an angel handmade by Kathy Watson has been displayed in a sanctuary window. The national offering goal for Southern Baptists is $175 million. Every penny given to The Lottie Moon Christmas Offering goes directly to support missionaries and their ministries.
All are invited to attend activities and worship services of the church. Each Sunday Bible study begins at 9:45 am for babies through senior adults followed by Sunday worship services at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.
