Two injured in single-vehicle crash Saturday on Woodlawn Road

Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015, 1 a.m. — One person was injured and airlifted to a Louisville hospital after a single-vehicle crass Saturday afternoon in the 2000 block of Woodlawn Road. According to the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office, Dustin L. Vittitow, 32, of Bardstown was driving a 1993 Ford Mustang north on Woodlawn Road when he lost control and his car left the road and hit a utility pole. Police, Nelson County EMS and Nelson County Fire & Rescue responded to assist at about 4:20 p.m. Firefighters freed Vittitow from the vehicle. He and his four-year-old male passenger were transported by EMS to Flaget Memorial Hospital. Vittitow was later taken on to University Hospital by Nelson County EMS for treatment of multiple injuries.
