Sheriff’s office investigates single-car injury accident on BG Parkway

Monday, Dec. 21, 2015, 9 a.m. — An Elizabethtown woman was injured early Monday morning in a single-vehicle accident near the 12.5 mile marker in the westbound lanes of the Bluegrass Parkway. Brandi L. Martorelli, 28, was traveling west when a low air pressure sensor activated on her car and the left wheels dropped off the roadway. The driver lost control of the 2009 Dodge Avenger she was operating and ran into the media, struck an embankment, crossed into the eastbound lanes before returning to the media. The driver suffered facial lacerations and refused treatment by Nelson County EMS.
