Task force investigation leads to 3 charged with drug-related offenses

Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2015. 2 p.m. — Three people were arrested Tuesday during a narcotics search warrant executed at a home in the 100 block of Purcell Avenue by the Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force and Bardstown Police.
Among the items recovered, police found marijuana; synthetic marijuana known as “spice”; several grams of heroin; drug paraphernalia; cash; and several guns.
Ricky Wayne Harper Jr, 23, was arrested for parole violations and two outstanding Marion County warrants for failure to appear in court.
Nathan Scott Shepherd, 22, was charged with trafficking in controlled substances, first-degree (2 or more grams heroin); possession of controlled substances, first-degree (heroin); cultivation of marijuana; trafficking in marijuana (less than 8 ounces).
Abby Nicole Barnett, 19, was charged with possession of marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia; tampering with physical evidence; possession of synthetic drugs.
Both were lodged in the Nelson County Jail.
