Obituary: James A. ‘Jimmy’ Dye, 85, Lebanon

James A. “Jimmy” Dye, 85, of Lebanon, died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. He was born Feb. 25, 1930, in Marion County. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He worked as a self-employed upholsterer, and was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hagan and Martha Louise Abell Dye; and one sister, Colleen Whitlock.

Survivors include his wife, Joann Mattingly Dye of Lebanon; one sister, Kathryn Evans of Lebanon; one brother, Robert Lee “Bobby” (Wanda) Dye of Lebanon, KY; and several nieces and nephews.

The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 26, 2015, at St. Augustine Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is 7-11 a.m. Saturday at the church.

The Bosley Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
