Obituary: Steven Mark ‘Welby’ Greenwell, 51, Bardstown

Steven Mark “Welby” Greenwell, 51, of Bardstown, died Sunday, Dec. 27, 2015, at his home. He was born June 25, 1964, in Lebanon. He was an avid golfer, loved painting, fishing and gardening.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmie Greenwell; one brother, David Greenwell; his maternal grandparents, Alvin and Pauline Taylor; and his paternal grandparents, Raymond and Anna Belle Greenwell.

He is survived by his mother, Linda Greenwell of Bardstown; four sisters, Karen (Alvin) Cecil and Mary Ellen (Michael Lee) Wheatley, both of Bardstown, Denise (John) White of Boston and Nancy (Jeff) Lynn of Danville; two brothers, Robert (Laura) Greenwell and Gary (Carlene) Greenwell, both of Boston; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews.

A memorial service is noon Saturday, Jan. 2, 2015, at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in the Holy Trinity Cemetery at Fredericktown with the Rev. Joe Graffis officiating.

Visitation is 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016, at the funeral home.
