Obituary: James Wood Hahn, 81, Bloomfield

James Wood Hahn, 81, of Bloomfield, died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015, at his home. He was the son of the late Sam and Clara White Hahn and was born March 23, 1934 in Nelson County. He was a farmer and a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a former member of the Nelson County funeral_doveFarm Service Agency, and a member of the Bloomfield United Methodist Church.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Clifton Hahn and R.C. Hahn.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Greer Hahn; one daughter, Jennifer (Nathan) Coulter; two sons, Rodney (Laurie) Hahn and David (Nicole) Hahn, both of Bloomfield; one sister, Mabel (Wally) Shehan of Radcliff; and two granddaughters, Abigail Marie and Emma Grace Hahn.

The funeral is 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016, at the Bloomfield United Methodist Church with Bro. Jim Hitt officiating. Burial is in the Maple Grove Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 1, 2016, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at the church. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contribution to the Bloomfield United Methodist Church.

The Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
