Bardstown firefighters respond for rekindled New Year’s bon fire

Friday, Jan. 1, 2016, 12:07 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department responded Friday morning to an address in the 200 block of North Aspen for an out-of-control controlled burn. Firefighters were dispatched at 7:37 a.m. for a report of a backyard New Year’s Eve bon fire that had rekindled. Fire crews extinguished the fire. They were on the scene for about 10 minutes.
