Obituary: Paul W. Leathers, 96, Bardstown
Paul W. Leathers, 96, of Bardstown, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016, at Windsor Gardens Nursing Center. He was born April 9, 1919, in Anderson County. He was a self-employed farmer and welder. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Bloomfield Masonic Lodge, York Rite in Shelbyville, Veteran of Foreign Wars, and N.E. Park Baptist Church in St. Petersburg, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J.F. and Anna Leathers; one sister, Ruth Martin; one brother, Cecil Leathers; and granddaughter, Marvena Livers.
He is survived by his wife, Viola Leathers of Bardstown; three daughters, Linda Broaddus of Bloomfield, Joan Norton of Bardstown, and Donna Samuels of Mount Washington; one brother, Ralph Leathers of Lanesville, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016, at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery in Bloomfield. The Rev. Lisa Zahalka and Chaplain Mary Jo Kruer will officiate.
Visitation is 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2015, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may go to Kentucky Baptist Children’s Home.
