VIRGINIA OLIVE TUNGET PAYNE
Virginia Olive Tunget Payne, 87, of New Haven, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016 at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown. She was born on Sept. 1, 1928, to the late George and Lottie Colvin Tunget. She was a member of Park Place United Methodist Church in Jeffersonville, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Roy L. Stone and William Payne; one daughter, Deborah Jean Stone; one son, Roy Lee Stone; one sister, Fannie Mae Mullins; and one brother, Vernon Tunget.
She is survived by four children, Virginia L. Stone Howard (David), Libby Stone Weber (Barry), Bessie Stone Edler, and George R. Stone (Christy); one sister, Joann Tunget Schneider; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation is 2-5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016 at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home in New Haven.
The graveside service is 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Ind., with Eldon Morgan officiating.
The Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
