Obituary: Clifton Young III, 61, Bardstown
Clifton Young III, 61, of Bardstown, died Monday, Jan. 4, 2016, at his residence. He was born Dec. 26, 1954, in Clays Ferry. He was a U.S. Army 
veteran who served in Vietnam. He worked for Dollar General Market.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Alline Curtis “GiGi”; and one sister, Judy Curtis.
He is survived by a companion and caregiver, Kathy Burton of Bardstown; four daughters, Shannon Ayers of Melody Lake, Missy Hutchins, Angie (Bear) Lampkin and Belinda (Chris) Newton, all of Bardstown; one son, Jeffery (Bridget) Young of Lexington; his father, Clifton “Junior” Young II of Richmond; one sister, Ruth Ann Fields of Bardstown; two brothers, Roy Young and Mark Young, both of Lexington; 12 grandkids; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral is 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016, at Barlow Funeral Home with the Rev. Karl Lusk officiating.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may go St. Jude’s.
The Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
