MARY FRANCES “FRANNIE” MATTINGLY

Mary Frances “Frannie” Mattingly, 71, of Bardstown, died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. She was born June 24, 1944, in Nelson County to the late James Leo and Christine Murphy Spalding. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, James Leo Spalding, Jr., Michael “Mickey” Spalding, and Jerry Spalding.

She is survived by her husband, Harold Mattingly; one son, Andrew “Andy” Mattingly of Bardstown; five sisters, Faye (Gary) Miles, Patsy (Jerry) Trent, Sarah (David) Simpson, Sissy (Melvin) Mattingly, Kathy (Rick) Mattingly, all of Bardstown; three brothers, Jodi (Lula) Spalding of Horse Cave, Davie (June) Spalding of New Haven and Ricky Spalding of Nazareth; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 8, 2016, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Road with Deacon Sam Filiatreau officiating with burial in the St. Thomas Church Cemetery.

Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016 at the funeral home.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
