Bardstown resident joins Sen. Rand Paul’s staff as field representative

Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016, 3 p.m. — U.S. Sen. Rand Paul announced Wednesday that Robert Augustine of Bardstown has been hired to serve as the newest member of Paul’s expanded Kentucky staff.
Augustine will serve constituents in Nelson, Bullitt, Spencer, Anderson, Washington, Marion, Trimble, Oldham, Henry, Shelby, Boyle, and Mercer counties.
Augustine is a Kentucky native who has served for the past 15 years as the Director of Photography for Lifetouch National School Studios.
He has consulted for and managed various political campaigns in Kentucky, and currently serves as the Chairman of the Nelson County Republican Party. He was a former member of the Kentucky State Senate Republican staff, and he has maintained a freelance career in computer-related design and photography. He has also contributed columns for the Nelson County Gazette and The Kentucky Standard.
“It is an honor to have the opportunity to serve the people of Kentucky on behalf of Senator Paul,” Mr. Augustine said.
Augustine lives in Bardstown with his wife Jessica and sons Benjamin and Samuel.
“This area is an incredibly important part of the state, and I am excited to have Robert, a native of Nelson County who knows the area so well, join our team in this newly expanded position,” Paul said through a press release.
