Fire department called for active alarm at St. Jospeh School

bardstown_fire_200Sunday, Jan. 10, 2016, 3 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department responded early Saturday afternoon for an active fire alarm at St. Joseph School, 320 West Stephen Foster Ave. Firefighters were dispatched at 12:23 p.m. after an active alarm was reported by the alarm company. Firefighters found the cause of the alarm was burned popcorn. Firefighters used fans to remove smoke from the school. They were on the scene for about 20 minutes.
