MARY LEE KOPROWSKI

Mary Lee Koprowski, 69, of Russellville, formerly of Chaplin, died Friday, Jan. 8, 2016, at The Medical Center in Bowling Green. She was the former Mary Lee Cornelius, born July 1, 1946, in Russellville to Charles Tom and Katherine Bailey Cornelius. She was a retired nurse, a Kentucky Colonel, a member of the Fincastle Chapter of D.A.R., Magna Charta Dames of Maryland Manor, Daughters of the Confederacy, Kentucky Pioneers Society, and the Chaplin United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Koprowski; her father, Charles Tom Cornelius; and one brother, Spencer Rhea Cornelius.

She is survived by one daughter, Penelope Katherine (David) Keeling of Taylorsville; three sons, Will Thomas Koprowski of Russellville, Nathan Thomas (Lana) Koprowski of Twin Lakes, Wisc. and Andrew Thomas (Diane) Koprowski of Louisville; her mother, Katherine Cornelius of Russellville; one brother, Charles Barren (Anthlene) Cornelius of Russellville; and eight grandchildren.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield with burial in the Lebanon National Cemetery.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016, at the funeral home.

The Houghlin Funeral Home of Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
