Two injured Monday night in single-vehicle parkway crash

Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016, 9:30 a.m. — Alcohol is believed to have been involved in a single-vehicle crash Monday night that left two injured near the sheriffbadgeBluegrass Parkway’s 17 mile marker.

Brian N. Conner, 44, of Philpot, was driving his 1997 Ford F-150 pickup truck west on the parkway when he lost control of his vehicle, striking the bridge over the Rolling Fork River twice before coming to rest with his vehicle turned sideways blocking both westbound lanes.

The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office, Nelson County EMS and the Nelson County Fire & Rescue were dispatched to the scene at 11:42 p.m. According to police, Conner suffered facial injuries while his passenger, William Boehman of Lewisport, suffered facial and arm injuries. Both men were transported to Flaget Memorial Hospital for evaluation and treatment.

Police cited Conner for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of intoxicants.

Deputy A.J. Lewis Jr. of the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office was the investigating officer.
