Springfield woman injured in KY 55 rollover crash Tuesday night

Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016. 10 a.m. — A Springfield woman was injured in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday night on KY55 south of the Bluegrass sheriffbadgeParkway interchange near the Stringtown Road intersection.

According to the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office, at about 10:38 p.m. Tuesday, Katelyn R. Daugherty, 24, of Springfield was driving her 2010 Nissan Sentra south on KY 55 when she ran off the right side of the road and lost control of the vehicle. The car crossed both lanes of traffic and went up a hillside before it rolled over on its side, coming to rest on its roof in the northbound lane.

Police and Nelson County EMS were dispatched to the scene. The victim was transported to Flaget Memorial Hospital with possible neck and back injuries.

Deputy Levi Preston of the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office was the investigating officer.
