Obituary: John Patrick ‘Jack’ Raymond, 75, Cox’s Creek
John Patrick “Jack” Raymond, 75, of Cox’s Creek, died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. He was born Jan. 18, 1940, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Rene and Thelma Sherwood Raymond. He was a retired employee of General Electric, a U.S. Army Veteran, a member of the American Legion Post 288, and a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Fairfield.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Ted Raymond, Fritz Raymond and Daniel Raymond.
He is survived by his wife, Carole Hagan Raymond; three daughters, Mary (Tony) Deeley and Anne (Jamie) Powell, both of Louisville, and Kelly Stewart (Michael Ball) of Cox’s Creek; five sons, Bill (Kathy) Webster of Louisville, Mike Raymond and Mark Raymond, both of Bardstown, Gary Webster of Carbondale, Ill., and John (Krista) Raymond of Lakeside, Texas; two sisters, Judie McKitrick of Troy, Ohio and Sister Mary Catherine Raymond O.S.F. of Ohio; two brothers, Charles “Chuck” (Sandy) Raymond of Cox’s Creek and Edward Raymond of Ohio; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Fairfield with the Rev. Terry Bradshaw officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15, 2016, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield with a 7 p.m. prayer service.
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contribution to St. Michael Catholic Church.
The Houghlin Funeral Home of Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
