Three arrested Wednesday following drug task force investigation

Thursday, Jan. 21, 2016, 11:40 p.m. — Three people were arrested Wednesday as a result of an investigation into complaints of drug trafficking at a residence at 208 East O’Bryan Ave. in Bardstown’s Henrytown neighborhood.
The Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force press release said their investigation resulted in a search warrant for the home at that address, which was executed by the Bardstown Police Department’s Flex Team.
As officers entered the home’s side door, Jordan Girdley fled out the front and was apprehended by police. Officers found a bag containing 13 individually wrapped rocks of crack cocaine in his pocket.
Girdley had outstanding warrants and was arrested and charged with parole violation (for felony offense); trafficking in controlled substances, first-degree (less than 4 grams cocaine); possession of drug paraphernalia; flagrant non-support; and persistent felony offender, first-degree.
Inside the home, officers found cocaine, marijuana, pills and drug paraphernalia. The home’s residents — Gary Wayne Maddox and Debra Lynn Wampler — were arrested
Maddox was charged with possession of a controlled substance, first-degree (drug unspecified); possession of a controlled substance, first-degree (cocaine); possession of marijuana; and tampering with physical evidence.
Wampler was charged with possession of a controlled substance, first-degree (drug unspecified); possession of a controlled substance, first-degree (cocaine); possession of marijuana; tampering with physical evidence.
According to the press release, the investigation is continuing and additional arrests are expected.
