ALAN NEWTON
Alan Newton, 60, of New Haven, died Saturday Jan. 23, 2016 at Flaget Memorial Hospital. He was born Jan. 10, 1956, in Bardstown. He was a 38-year employee of American Fuji Seal.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bert Lee and Anna “Cecilia” Newton; and one brother, James “Stephen” Newton.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Melinda Newton of New Haven;
three sons, Eric (Christy) Newton of Bardstown, Travis (Brandi) Newton of Lawrenceburg, and Michael (Amanda) Newton of Bloomfield; one stepdaughter, Melanie (Trevor) Coulter of Bardstown; one stepson, Kurtis Ballard of New Haven; one sister, Julia Ann (Vincent) Mallon of Louisville; one brother, Rick (Barbara) Newton of Bardstown; 10 grandchildren, Kelsey Newton, Collin Newton, Brent Newton, Austin Lyvers, Nicholas Newton, Anna Elizabeth Newton, Haiden Ballard, Annabelle Coulter, Eli Newton, and Zoi Newton; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016, at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Deacon Sam Filiatreau will officiate.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2016, and 9-11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may go to American Heart Association.
