HOWARD KEENE

Keene spent 25 months in the graduate banking program in Wisconsin and has been with Your Community Bank for nine years. He serves as vice president of the Bardstown market. Keene’s duties as vice president include serving as the lead communication source with a primary focus on commercial lending and deposits. Keene also assists with marketing efforts in his county.

“The graduate banking program was very intense, but it made me realize the importance of the role that senior management plays within the organization,” said Keene. “I am grateful that Your Community Bank supports us in taking time to enhance our skills and knowledge. I am anxious to put all that I learned to the test to help better our relationships with customers.”

The Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, is one of the most prestigious banking schools in the country. The school is known for its intelligent and experienced professors and a unique program tailored to today’s banking leaders.

“The program helped me build key banking connections throughout the country,” he said. “It gave me the knowledge I needed to maintain modern insights that will benefit customers at Your Community Bank.”

The banking program requires students to complete a bank simulation project that Keene says will benefit him greatly in his current position. This is just one of the many hands on opportunities that Keene experienced while attending the program.

Your Community Bank operates more than 30 financial centers, including locations in Clark, Floyd and Scott counties in Indiana, and Bullitt, Fayette, Hardin, Hart, Jefferson, Meade, and Nelson counties in Kentucky.
