1 injured when passenger car strikes farm tractor on Louisville Road
Wednesday, May 11, 2011, 5:25 p.m. — A 76-year-old man was injured Wednesday about 5 p.m. when the tractor he was operating was struck by a vehicle. The accident happened in the 4000 block of Louisville Road south of Cox’s Creek Elementary School. Witnesses said the man was thrown off the Case tractor he was operating and landed on his head. Nelson County EMS transported the man to Flaget Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries, which included head and neck pain. EMTs reported the man was unable to recall what happened during the mishap. The driver of the car refused transport by EMS.
