Obituary: Maise Back, 79, Caneyville
Maise Back, 79, of Caneyville, died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2016, at Twin Lakes Regional Hospital in Leitchfield. She was a retired school bus driver for Xenia City Schools in Xenia, Ohio for 22 years before retiring and moving with her husband to Caneyville. She was a member of the Wilson Home General Baptist Church in Caneyville. She was born May 4, 1936, the daughter of the late Edison and Edith Marshall Back.
She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Back; two daughters, Edith Lorriane “Lorrie” Back and Amy JoAnn Back; one son, James Everett Back; one sister, Madge Back Jones; and three brothers, Edgar Back, Hacker Back and Hager Back.
Survivors include one daughter, Christina “Chrissy” Chaney of Leitchfield; one son, John (Wanda) Back of Petal, Miss.; three sisters, Lavonne Culver of Bardstown, Marinda Daugherty of Hodgenville and Beth (Chuck) Rust of New Haven; four brothers, James “Jim” Back of New Haven, Garner Back of Fairbourne, Ohio, Homer Back of Carlsbad, N.M., and Nem Back of Hodgenville; and several brother and sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The funeral is noon Central Time Friday, Feb. 5, 2016 at the William R. Rust Funeral Home Chapel, 167 North Main St., New Haven, with the Rev. Joe Williams, pastor of Wilson Home General Baptist Church of Caneyville officiating. Burial is in the Marshall Family Cemetery in New Haven.
Visitation is 2-6 p.m. Central time Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016, at Wilson Home General Baptist Church, 3221 Bryant Ridge Rd., Caneyville, and 9-noon Central time at the William R. Rust Funeral Home in New Haven.
The William R. Rust Funeral Home in New Haven is in charge of the arrangements.
