Obituary: Linda Carolyn Houck, 78, Cox’s Creek
Linda Carolyn Houck, 78, of Cox’s Creek, died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2016, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. She was a retired employee of Salt River Electric, a member of New Salem Baptist Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution Cox’s Station Chapter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry “Sammy” Houck.
Survivors include four sons, Russell Houck (Lorri), Rex Houck (Carrie), Randall Houck (Holly), and Rory (Myra) Houck; one brother, Lewis King; and seven grandchildren, Sallie Carter, Sam Houck, Ben Houck, Amber Rice, Amanda Ferguson, Samantha and Sydney Houck.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016, at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home, 111 North Bardstown Road in Mount Washington with burial to in Highland Memory Gardens.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5, 2016, and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial gifts may take the form of donations to the ALS Association.
The McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
