Obituary: Margaret Beaven Bash, 70, Louisville

Margaret Beaven Bash, 70, of Louisville, died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2016, at Jewish Hospital. She was born Dec. 12, 1945, in Marion County. She was a former legal secretary and a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. She loved crafts and cooking.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Helen Mills Beaven; one infant brother, John D. Beaven; one sister-in-law, Virginia Beaven; and one brother-in-law, Don Spalding.

Survivors include her husband of 26 years, Tarry Bash; three stepdaughters, Laura, Cassaundra and Kerri Bash, all of Argos, Ind.; six sisters, Judy A. Beaven and Janice McClure (Lee), both of Lexington, Mickey Spalding, Nancy Beaven and Rita Simms (Joe), all of Louisville, and Betty LeBlanc (Charlie) of Breaux Bridge, La.; five brothers, Steve Beaven (Lois) and Tommy Beaven, both of Loretto, David Beaven (Judy) and Gerry Beaven, both of Bardstown and Jimmy Beaven (Mary Ann) of Lebanon.

The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6785 Highway 52, St, Francis with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12, 2016, at the Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto with a prayer service at 6 p.m. with Deacon Joseph R. Dant.

Memorial donations may go to the WHAS Crusade for Children, 520 W. Chestnut St., Louisville, KY 40202

Pallbearers are Tom, Tom Jr., Brian, Greg, Michael, Jimmy, Justin and David Beaven.

Honorary Pallbearers are Steve and Gerry Beaven.

The Mattingly Funeral Home in Loretto is in charge of the arrangements.
