Water main break prompts boil water advisory for East Stephen Foster area

Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016 — Parts of Bardstown south of My Old Kentucky Home State Park along East Stephen Foster are under a boil water advisory due to a water main break Thursday.
The advisory includes city water customers who live on Sylvan Drive, Demaree Drive and Beechwold Place; 507-603 Bloomfield Road; customers on the northeast side of Guthrie Drive from East Stephen Foster to Bloomfield Road, including 103-109 on the South East side of Guthrie; and customers on the north side of East Stephen Foster Avenue from address 442-512.
Water customers may experience low or intermittent water pressure, and, therefore, drinking water should be boiled as a precautionary measure.
Customers in the area are advised to bring all drinking and cooking water to a rolling boil for five minutes before use
According to City Hall, the boil water advisory notice will be in effect for approximately 2-3 days. If discoloration or air in your water line persists, please call City Hall at 502-348-5947, ext. 2270.
