Obituary: Mildred Fay Damron, 93, Bardstown
Mildred Fay Damron, 93, of Bardstown, died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2016, at Windsor Gardens in Bardstown. She was born May 30, 1922, in Pike County to the late Charlie and Havana Haley Comer. She was a retired LPN for Appalachian Regional Hospital in McDowell and was a member of Bardstown Baptist Church.
She was also preceded by her husband, Frank Damron; and four brothers.
She is survived by three daughters, Barbara Ann Jeanes of Louisville, Frances Kay (Tony) Hulsey of Corryton, Tenn. and Lena Sue (Jim) Fawkes of Bardstown; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with burial in the Bardstown Cemetery.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2016, and after 8:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Bardstown Baptist Church Building Fund.
The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
