ELIZABETH ALICE WIMPSETT BEAM
Elizabeth Alice Wimpsett Beam, 91, of Botland, died Monday, Feb. 15, 2016, at the Loretto Motherhouse. She was born April 11, 1924, in the Balltown area of Nelson County to Joseph Felix Wimpsett and Elizabeth Izetta Burba Wimpsett. She was a member of St. Joseph parish and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Earl M. Beam; her parents; two sisters, Alberta and Catherine; and three brothers, Leland, Everett, J.C. and Edwin.
Survivors include one daughter, Catherine (Larry) Means of Shepherdsville; four sons, James W. Beam (Ursula), William Earl Beam (Darlene), Charles B. Beam (Yvonne) and Joseph Stephen Beam (Canda), all of Bardstown; nine grandchildren, James W. Beam Jr., Kimberly M. Beam, Melissa Beihm, Ruth Greenwell, Elizabeth Mattingly, Alan Beam, Brian Beam, Leah Zettwoch and Eric Beam; 12 great-grandchildren, Katelynn Ann Beam, Ben Ruhlin, Christian Beam, Kelsey Mattingly, Oscar Zettwoch, Brielle Beihm, Ella Ruth Mattingly, Jonas Beam, Samuel Greenwell, Gavin Beam and Millie Jean Beam.
The funeral is 1:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, 2016, at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in the St. Joseph Cemetery with the Rev. Jason Harris officiating.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may go to the Loretto Motherhouse.
