Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016, 6 p.m. — Two Bardstown residents face drug-related charges after the car they were in was stopped for excessive window tinting Thursday afternoon.
At about 12:49 p.m. Thursday, Bardstown Police Officer Kyler Wright stopped a tan Buick operated by Latosha Shain, 30, of Bardstown due to excessively dark window tinting. Shain was charged with possession of synthetic drugs; possession of a controlled substance, second-degree; possession of drug paraphernalia; failure to maintain required insurance; possession of drug paraphernalia; and excessive window tinting.
Shain’s passenger, Ray A. Calbert, was found in possession of a small bag of cocaine and an undetermined amount of cash. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance, first-degree and lodged in the Nelson County Jail.
The investigation is ongoing, and individuals with information regarding this incident are asked to contact Bardstown Police, (502) 348-6811 or Nelson County Dispatch (502) 348-3211.
