Officer administers CPR after possible drug overdose, crash

Sunday, Feb. 21, 2016 — The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office is investigation a Sunday evening single-vehicle accident that may have been caused by a emslogodrug overdose. At 7:13 p.m., Nelson County EMS and police were dispatched at 7:13 p.m. for a single vehicle accident on New Shepherdsville Road across from the Rooster Run General Store. A Bardstown Police officer was in the area and was the first responder to arrive at the crash scene. The woman had a faint pulse was was not breathing, and the officer began CPR until EMS arrived. She was transported to Flaget Memorial Hospital for evaluation and treatment.
