Obituary: Donald Ray ‘Hot Rod’ McCauley, 64, Finley
Donald Ray “Hot Rod” McCauley, 64, of Finley, met his eternal Father Wednesday, March 2, 2016. He was born May 1, 1951, in Marion County. He was a former construction worker and member of Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church. He loved and enjoyed his family, hunting and racing cars.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Robert and Lucille Lucas McCauley; one sister, Hazel Grubbs; and two brothers, William and J. L McCauley.
He is survived by his loving wife, Louise Moore McCauley; one son, Timmy McCauley of Finley; two sisters, Arvilla McKinney of Tampa, Florida and Debbie Shively (Howard) of Calvary; two brothers, Leon McCauley (Diane) of Bardstown and Eddie McCauley (Libby) of Loretto; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Saturday, March 5, 2016, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 108 Main Street, Raywick with the Rev. James W. Graf officiating. Burial is in the Benningfield Cemetery.
Visitation is 3-9 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2016, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto with a 6 p.m. prayer service by Deacon Joseph R. Dant and the Rev. Clellan Hays.
Pallbearers are Darrell Moore, Michael Shively, Phil McCauley, Johnny McCauley, Michael Moore and Austin Ryan.
Honorary Pallbearers are Tommy Moore, Ricky Grubbs, Russell McCauley, Melody Shively Colvin, Nicole Moore, Jared Moore, Lonnie Whitlock and Randall Caulk.
The Mattingly Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
