Victim airlifted from scene of ATV crash near Old Tunnel Mill Road

emslogoMonday, March 7, 2016 — A 27-year-old man was injured early Monday morning in an ATV accident off Old Tunnel Mill Road at the Nelson-Washington county line. Nelson County EMS, the Northeast Nelson Fire Department and the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched just before 1 a.m. for a report of a man injured when the ATV he was in crashed. Firefighters, EMS and police found the victim and requested a medical helicopter respond directly to the crash location. The victim was flown from the scene to Lexington with a suspected leg fracture.
