THELMA FOGLE THOMPSON

Thelma Fogle Thompson, 62, of Holy Cross, died Sunday, March 6, 2016, at Norton Hospital in Louisville. She was born Nov. 6, 1953, in Marion County. She was a former employee of Jane and Linda Sportswear in Lebanon and Loretto Lumber and Hardware Company. She was a member of American Legion Post 121 Auxiliary in Bardstown.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph George “Joe” and Rose Mary Thompson Fogle; one brother, Jimmy Fogle; and one brother-in-law, Steve Fulk.

Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Charles Leroy Thompson Jr.; two daughters, Dawn Caldwell (Mark) and Jill DeSpain (Scott), both of Loretto; three sisters, Suzanne Fulk of Louisville, Phyllis Cambron (Stanley) and Cathy Gardner (Greg), both of Holy Cross; two brothers, Terry Fogle (Julita) of Dant Station and Jackie Fogle (Danna) of Holy Cross; and four grandchildren, Rose Caldwell, Reece Caldwell and Gavin DeSpain and Quinn DeSpain.

The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 3560 North St. Francis Road, Loretto, with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Emil Kander will officiate.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto with a 6 p.m. prayer service with Deacon Joseph R. Dant.

Pallbearers are Aaron Fogle, Ross Wright, Matt Cambron, Adam Gardner, Michael Fogle and Patrick Carrico. Honorary pallbearers are Joe Hornback, Billy Taylor, Brian Medley, Jeff Thompson and Mark Thompson.

Mattingly Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
