Federal retirees’ group to meet April 4 in Elizabethtown

Community news

Monday, March 7, 2016, 8 p.m. — During the March meeting of Chapter 1050 of The National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE), Angela Jaggers RRT, from Intrepid Healthcare Services, briefed the membership on home health services available through Intrepid.

The goal of home healthcare is to treat an illness or injury in surroundings where the patient feels most comfortable. A doctor must order your home healthcare, then the home health care agency coordinates the services ordered.

Home health care includes part-time or intermittent skilled nursing care, and/or other skilled care services. In most cases 100 percent of the home health care services are covered by Medicare and or Tricare.

For additional information about services available through Intrepid Healthcare Services visit www.intrepidusa.com or call contact Angela Jaggers at 270-763-9242 or email: angela.jaggers@intrepidusa.com.

NEXT MEETING. The next NARFE chapter meeting is 11 a.m. in Monday, April 4, 2016, in the community meeting room of the Nolin RECC building at 411 Ring Road, Elizabethtown. Carol Baldwin, Central KY Community Action Agency, which covers Breckinridge, Grayson, Larue, Marion, Meade, Nelson and Washington counties will speak on changes to Medicare and Medicaid.
