Obituary: Francis David Lyvers, 65, New Haven
Francis David Lyvers, 65, of New Haven, died Saturday, March 5, 2016, at his residence. He was born Dec. 17, 1950 in Holy Cross. He was a construction worker, a veteran of the U.S. Army and a Catholic by faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Fabian and Leona Elizabeth Mattingly Lyvers; and two brothers, Glenn Lyvers and infant Michael Anthony Lyvers.
Survivors include one daughter, Carol Ballard (Glen) of Greenbrier; one son, Allen Lyvers of New Haven; three sisters, Ann Bullock, Charlene Thrift (Bo) and Janice Maddox (Charles), all of Alabama; five brothers, Randall Lyvers (Carol) of Pensacola, Fla., Jimmy Lyvers of Bardstown, Leroy Lyvers (Rita) of Holy Cross, Larry Lyvers of New Haven and Marion Lyvers (Dee) of Springfield; seven grandchildren, Kaitlyn Ballard, Dayton Lyvers, Jessica Lyvers, Kenlee Lyvers, Harlee Lyvers, Braylee Lyvers and Clara Ballard; and one stepgranddaughter, Nikki Ballard.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at the Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto with a prayer service at 7 p.m. with Deacon Joseph R. Dant with cremation to follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may go to the donor’s favorite charity.
The Mattingly Funeral Home in Loretto is in charge of the arrangements.
