Obituary: Arthur ‘Jackie’ Jackson Jr., 74, Bardstown
Arthur “Jackie” Jackson Jr., 74, of Bardstown, died Wednesday, March 9, 2016. at his residence. He was born Feb. 4, 1942 in Lyon Station. He retired from Smurfit Stone and was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Authur and Nellie Jackson; and one sister, Mary Dawson.
He is survived by his wife, Diana Jackson of Bardstown; one daughter, Jessica (Drew) Culver of Bardstown; two sons, Andy (Trish) Jackson of Bardstown and Larry (Pam) Jackson of Samuels; two stepsons, Joshua (Carley) Burton of Memphis, Ind., and Brian (Megan) Burton of Fairfield, Mont.; one sister, Jo Ann Miracle of Bardstown; one brother, Charlie (Judy) Jackson of New Haven; nine grandchildren, Aaron Jackson, Cameron Jackson, Savannah Jackson, Molly Jackson, Karli Jackson, Gannon Jackson, Jeffrey Burton, Rodney Burton, and Paxton Culver; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral is 10 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in the Bardstown Cemetery. Pastor Gary Chesser will officiate.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2016, and 8-10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may go to Mill Creek Baptist Church.
The Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
