Obituary: Barbara Dean ‘Bobbie’ Keeling, 75, Nazareth
Barbara Dean “Bobbie” Keeling, 75, of Nazareth, died Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown. She was the former Barbara Dean Beeler and was born Dec. 16, 1940, in Jeffersonville, Ind., to the late Navy and Claudia Suzanna Troxell Beeler. She was a former insurance agent for American Life, a former employee of the Nazareth Post Office, and attended Little Union and Cox’s Creek Baptist Church.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin sister, Patricia Jean “Patty” Keeling.
She is survived by her three sons, Ray (Mearl) Keeling of Cox’s Creek, Navy (Linda) Keeling and Johnny Keeling, both of Taylorsville; one sister, Brenda Goodlett of Shelbyville; her half-sister, Judy Marie Beeler of Knoxville, Tenn.; her half-brother, Kenneth Ray Beeler of Knoxville, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Friday, March 18, 2016, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Bro. Bobby Jewell officiating. Burial is in the Little Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contribution to the Little Union Baptist Church.
