County firefighters respond for reported Woodlawn Springs house fire

Monday, March 21, 2016, 9:55 p.m. — The Nelson County Fire Department responded Monday night to a possible house fire in the 100 block of Twin Oaks Drive. Firefighters and Nelson County EMS were dispatched at 8:45 p.m. to Woodlawn Springs subdivision after a resident called 911 for a fire in his home.
Firefighters determined the fire was limited to the home’s bathroom and was caused by a space heater in the home’s bathroom. The fires were out when crews arrived, and firefighters used their equipment to help remove smoke from the home. Firefighters were on the scene for about 45 minutes. No injuries were reported.
