Obituary: Billy Ray Fisher, 80, Elizabethtown

Billy Ray Fisher, 80, of Elizabethtown, died Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at North Hardin Health and Rehabilitation. He worked for Gamble Brothers and was retired from E-town Sportswear. He was a member of Youngers Creek Baptist Church where he was active in their Seniors Group funeral_candleand choir.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Linda Edlin Fisher; and his parents, William R. and M. Catherine Nally Fisher.

Survivors include his mother-in-law, Virginia Wiseman Edlin; three sisters-in-law, Etzel Stopher, Laura Elizabeth Mullins and Caroline Cline; three brothers-in-law, Leonard Stoy Edlin, Jr., Shirley Joe Edlin and Randall Lewis Edlin; nine nieces and nephews; and 11 great-nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 25, 2016, at Youngers Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Ron Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the Kappel Funeral Home in Boston and after 9:30 a.m. Friday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Michael Stopher Benefit Fund at West Point Bank in Elizabethtown.

The Kappel Funeral Home in Boston is in charge of the arrangements.
