Obituary: Carl Bruce Morris, 67, formerly of Bloomfield
Carl Bruce Morris, 67, of Munfordville, formerly of Bloomfield, died 7:57 p.m., Friday, March 25, 2016 at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. He was born in Louisville on Feb. 19, 1949, to the late Jesse Baum and Margaret Lillian Hellard Morris.
He was a 1967 graduate of Bloomfield High School, a U.S. Army Veteran and a retired employee of the General Electric Company of Louisville.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Paul Thomas Morris.
Survivors include, his wife, Marilyn Nally Morris; one son, Del Smith (Sheila) of Springfield; three sisters, Ann Curtsinger (Bobby) of Bardstown, Nancy Cravens of Louisville and Doris Stevens of Shelbyville; one brother, David Satterly (Marie) of Bardstown; and two grandchildren, Darrell Blake Smith and Bryce Smith.
The funeral is 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Carey & Son Funeral Home in Springfield with Bro. Herbie Goff, officiating. Burial is in the High View Cemetery at Chaplin with military rites by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Monday, March 28, 2016, at the funeral home.
Honorary pallbearers are Lawrence Ray Coulter and Morgan Hellard. Casket bearers are Bradley Nally, David Harmon, Timmy Curtsinger, Jimmie Cravens, Kenny Cravens and Jackie Robinson.
Carey & Son Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of the arrangements.
