County fire department responds Saturday on illegal burn complaint

Sunday, March 27, 2016, 11:45 p.m. — The Nelson County Fire & Rescue responded Saturday evening to a reported illegal burn at a residence in the 6500 block of Springfield Road. Firefighters responded to the call just after 6 p.m. They arrived to find a small burn pile. They advised the resident of the red flag ban on outdoor burning, and the resident agreed to extinguish the fire. Firefighters were on the scene for only a brief time.
