Toddler dies after struck by car during Easter visit to Springfield

Monday, March 28, 2016, 1:30 a.m. — A Bardstown toddler died after he was struck by a vehicle Sunday afternoon while celebrating Easter with family members in Springfield.
According to Springfield Police, police and Washington County EMS were dispatched Sunday afternoon at 3:49 p.m. to a home on Covington Avenue for a report of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle.
Christopher Alexander Garian, 18 months, was struck by a vehicle that was backing out of a driveway. EMS transported the toddler to Spring View Hospital in Lebanon where he died from his injuries.
Police say he was in Springfield visiting family with his parents, D’Anna Seabridge and Christopher Garian, both of Bardstown.
The accident is being investigated by the Springfield Police Department.
