Obituary: Mattie M. Martin, 84, Bardstown
Mattie M. Martin, 84, of Bardstown, died Sunday, March 27, 2016, at Life Care Center of Bardstown. She was born Feb. 9, 
1932, in LaRue County and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by one son, Mickey McCubbins; her parents, William and Effie Holbert; four sisters, Anna Bell O’Hare, Lorene Ritchie, Janet Guest, and Emma Gean Newton; and five brothers, Francis Holbert, Andrew Holbert, Casper Holbert, Lee Bertis Holbert, and Joe Holbert.
She is survived by one daughter, Jeanie McCubbins of Illinois; two sons, Billy McCubbins of Illinois, and Tony Martin of California; and several nieces and nephews.
The graveside service is 10 a.m. Thursday March 31, 2016, at the Bardstown Cemetery with the Rev. Karl Lusk officiating.
Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
