Obituary: Jennie V. Hibbs, 94
Jennie V. Hibbs, 94, died Saturday, March 26, 2016, at Baptist Health in Louisville. She was born Jan. 2, 1922, in Nelson County to the late Joseph and Lena Mae Hubbard Bealmear. She was a homemaker, a member of New Salem Baptist Church and Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband Arch Vincent Hibbs; one sister, Geneva Mudd; and one brother, Joe Bealmear Jr.
She is survived by two daughters, Beverly Jean (Truman) Rabal of Bardstown, and Vicki C. (Philip) Sanders of Louisville; two sisters, Ruby Waddell of Cox’s Creek and Frances Mae Crowe of Bardstown; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The graveside service is 2 p.m. Friday, April 1, 2016, at New Salem Church Cemetery.
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the New Salem Cemetery Fund.
The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Road, is in charge of arrangements.
