CVS planning new pharmacy on corner of North Third Street and KY 245

Thursday, March 30, 2016, 3 p.m. — WBRT Radio reported Thursday morning that a new CVS Pharmacy is being proposed to replace the existing Town & Country Bank branch located in front of Peebles at the corner of West John Rowan and North Third Street.
Five Star Development of Alabama has proposed to build a 12,900 square-foot retail commercial building on the site. The Development Review Board will hold a special meeting at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 5 to consider the proposed building.
Last year, Five Star Development of Alabama built new CVS Pharmacy buildings in the area — one in Shepherdsville and another on Bardstown Road near Hikes Lane — both similar in size to the one proposed for Bardstown.
CVS is the nation’s second-largest pharmacy chain and operates more than 7,800 pharmacies nationwide. It is a subsidiary of CVS Health, headquartered in Rhode Island.
